We are seeking a dynamic team member to lead development, implementation and sustainability of engaging education, outreach and fundraising events. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to efficiently multi-task, prioritize projects, problem solve and complete tasks in a timely manner. A seasonal/variable schedule and working conditions, including nights and weekends, require flexibility and adaptability. 2 years’ experience in event and program planning, management and implementation, budget development and management, website maintenance, social media, online marketing, registration systems. Strong community engagement skills including volunteer recruitment and management and community engagement is a must. Candidate will possess knowledge and passion for natural sciences (birding, geology, botany, ecology, climate change). The Community Programs Director is an integral part of the small and innovative WRI team, and includes a benefits package.
