Garden Plot Application and Agreement

Garden fees are $40 per plot ($35 for members) and one plot per household.

Each garden plot is a 4’ x 8’ raised bed. The fee covers use of bed through the growing season (May 1st through November 1st), includes automatic timer water system per plot, annual maintenance, fenced area, secure garden with an attractive common area of flowers, seating, art, sculpture, and shared herbs and berries. Financial assistance is available. Garden plots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis – apply early!

Garden Guidelines

Have the plot planted by June 1st and maintain the plot for the entire garden season.
- Abandoned or unmaintained plots will receive a warning. Ask a friend to help if needed!
- The assigned plot and surrounding areas need to be kept free of weeds and kept clean.
Recycle and compost when you can! We have a large compost area by the red shed.
Pack It In - Pack It Out! Trash receptacles are not provided. Trash and litter need to be removed from the plot.
Corn, sunflowers and other tall crops are only allowed if they do not shade neighboring plots.
Gardeners will pick only their own crops unless given permission by another plot user.
We encourage environmentally friendly gardening practices.
Smoking and consumption of alcohol on garden property is not allowed.
Produce from the garden cannot be sold for profit.
Plots need to be cleaned up by Nov. 1st.
Garden equipment (tools, wheelbarrow, hoses, etc.) need to be cleaned and put away after each use.
Invasive plants, large structures, illegal plants, tall bushes or trees are not allowed.
Any grievances should be reported to Wenatchee River Institute for resolution.
Wenatchee River Institute reserves the right to make amendments to these Policies and Rules at any time.

I understand that these guidelines are put in place for my safety and protection, along with my fellow gardeners. I will follow the rules and understand that any violation of the above guidelines is grounds for losing my plot. I understand that neither the garden group nor owners of the land are responsible for my actions. I THEREFORE AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS THE GARDEN GROUP, WENATCHEE RIVER INSTITUTE, AND OWNERS OF THE LAND FOR ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGE, LOSS OR CLAIM THAT OCCURS IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF THE GARDEN BY ME OR ANY OF MY GUESTS.
