 arf mistletoe species\, Douglas-fir dwarf mistletoe and ponderosa pine dwa
 rf mistletoe\, occur at this site. Jim will describe how to recognize the 
 dwarf mistletoe and discuss infection\, intensification\, and spread of th
 is native parasite. Dwarf Mistletoe infections have implications for wildf
 ire behavior\, forest management techniques and offers benefits to some sp
 ecies of wildlife. Wear light hiking footwear and long pants and dress for
  the weather (Sun!) for this moderate activity. Bring plenty of water and

 k and Ride just west of the Forest Service office in Leavenworth where we 
 will form car pools. Dress for the weather and wear light hiking footwear

 ty of water and a lunch or snacks if you desire.
