X-WR-CALDESC:The Second of Four Classes to help us learn how we can make a
difference in this world!\nPresenter: Heather Trim from Zero Waste Washing
 ton\nDoors open at 6:30 for no-host refreshments\, talk starts at 7\n\nAdm
ission: Suggested donation $2\n\nPlastics are everywhere and their impacts
and management are a growing concern around the Pacific NW and globally.
Please join Zero Waste Washington for a conversation highlighting current
knowledge of plastics\, from microplastics in marine waters to plastics re
cycling challenges. Last year 300 million tons of new plastic were produce
d globally\, and 1/3 of this was used in plastic packaging\, including bag

What happens to the rest of it? In this presentation\, you will find out
about plastic waste and what is being done to reduce plastic pollution in
our region.\n\nThe second of a series\, there will be more about sustainab
ility\, reducing waste in our day to day lives and making our own shampoo\
 , selected Mondays until July!
