 om season is here! Wenatchee River Institute and Puget Sound Mycological S
 ociety are coming together to host a fall fungi field trip.\nThe day will 
 begin at the Wenatchee River Institute with a meeting to set the scene and
  provide a safety briefing. PSMS guides will take groups of people out to 
 different locations for fungi foraging and collection. There is no guarant
 ee you'll find good edible mushrooms\, of course\, but you will learn the 
 basics and have an idea of the habitat to look for\, based on the season. 
  The guided trips will be out foraging for about 3 hours. Groups will retu
 rn to WRI to have mushrooms identified. A group potluck will close the day
 .\n \nIndividuals who prefer a guided experience may sign up for one\, unt
 il groups are full.\n\nItems to bring\n-Please dress for changing fall wea
 ther: boots\, rain gear\, appropriate clothing\n-snacks and water. \n-knif
 e\n-collection brown bag or basket – NO plastic bags - A recommended colle
 ction system would be a basket with a number of smaller bags to separate s
 pecies in the basket\n-whistle\n-bright orange or yellow vest or hat\n-a d
 ish for the potluck at the end of the day\n-personal plate\, cup and utens
 ils\n-optional\, if you have: compass\, two-way radios\n\nNote that the fo
 rage may include walking on uneven ground. \n\nTickets are FREE.\nAttendan
 ce limited to 30.
