 ion-driven ski and snowboard film elevating women\, adaptive skiers\, and 
 people of color. The Approach combines all kinds of skiing and riding in g
 orgeous locations throughout the west\, and gives a glimpse into the wide 
 variety of narratives behind why riding is important to each athlete\, and
  their approach to the mountains and life. The Approach is directed\, film
 ed and edited by Anne Cleary\, with additional film and production work by
  Sofia Jaramillo\, Jeff Keenan\, and Leanne Pelosi\, and produced by Ingri
 d Backstrom and Mad Trees. Featured riders include: Emilé Zynobia\, Leanne
  Pelosi\, Brooklyn Bell\, Vasu Sojitra\, Ingrid Backstrom\, Anna Soens\, S
 ophia Rouches\, and more.\n\nIngrid Backstrom has been skiing professional
 ly for 16 years and has appeared in over 20 ski films including Warren Mil
 ler\, Sherpas Cinema\, and Matchstick Productions. She has been fortunate 
 to make first descents of mountains in China\, Greenland\, and Baffin Isla
 nd\, as well as skiing in Pakistan\, Greenland\, and from the summit of De
 nali. She lives with her husband\, two kids\, and a dog in Leavenworth\, W
 ashington. \n\nDoors open at 6:30pm for community social with local beer a
 nd wine available for purchase. The presentation begins at 7:00pm.\nFree e
 vent with a donation basket at door.\n\nSince these events are now indoors
  in close quarters\, only people who are vaccinated for COVID-19 (regardle
 ss of eligibility) may attend. We still ask that you wear a mask. Thank yo
 u for following this honor system. Windows will be open during the event (
 along with an air purifier operating)\, so please bring a layer to keep yo
 u warm.
