X-WR-CALDESC:Join knowledgeable WRI staff on this birding survey around our
  campus! All skill levels welcome. This is a great opportunity to learn ab
 out eBird\, the largest biodiversity-related community science project in 
 the world\, and utilize it to record our observations of local wild birds.
  We will conduct four 15-minute stationary bird counts for an hour of bird
 ing. Total walking distance is ½ mile\, over a gravel path with two modera
 te hills. Come prepared for the weather and bring your binoculars if you h
 ave them – if not\, we can supply you with a pair for the survey! These wa
 lks will happen once per month for the whole year. Join us for as many as 
 you can!\n\nTrail difficulty level: beginner level\nNot ADA accessible due
  to non-plowed trails in winter\n\nMeet outside the River Haus at 8am and 
 plan to be finished by 9:30am. No registration required.  \n\nFor programs
  that are fully outside\, we suggest that participants are vaccinated for 
 COVID-19\, though this is not required. We ask that you wear a mask during
  check in and while using the restroom.
