 o years\, Chelan County Natural Resource Department has worked with local 
 stakeholders\, agencies\, and professional consultants on a ‘Whitewater Pa
 rk Feasibility Study’ for the Wenatchee Basin. The two sites\, Dryden Dam 
 and Leavenworth Mill Dam\, were further investigated through landowner and
  agency outreach\, and ultimately the Leavenworth Mill Dam was selected fo
 r development of conceptual design for rehabilitation and recreation impro
 vement.\n\nThis presentation is intended to share the project idea with th
 e community at large and gather feedback that will help guide the directio
 n of project development. The speakers will walk listeners through the pro
 cess of the feasibility study\, the site selection\, and possible project 
 alternatives at the Leavenworth Mill Dam site\, including Barn Beach. Chel
 an County Natural Resource Specialist Erin McKay\, along with Professional
  Engineer Mason Lacy of Recreation Engineering and Planning\, and Fluvial 
 Geomorphologist Randy Goetz from Parr Excellence\, will describe the spect
 rum of possibility at the Mill Dam site\, including opportunities for rest
 oration of the relic dam itself and surrounding habitat\, addition of a na
 turalistic wave feature that could provide recreational opportunity at sea
 sonal flows\, and how this concept fits into the larger conversation of Le
 avenworth river recreation and safety. The speakers will be happy to answe
 r questions and provide an opportunity for community feedback\, which will
  be utilized when deciding next steps for this project.\n\nThis is a FREE 
 event with a donation basket at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm for a commu
 nity social with beer and wine available for purchase. The presentation wi
