X-WR-CALDESC:Spring mushroom season is here! Wenatchee River Institute and 
 Puget Sound Mycological Society are coming together to host a spring fungi
  field trip.\n\nThe day will begin at the Wenatchee River Institute with a
  meeting to set the scene and provide a safety briefing. PSMS guides will 
 take groups of people out to different locations for fungi foraging and co
 llection. There is no guarantee you'll find good edible mushrooms\, of cou
 rse\, but you will learn the basics and have an idea of the habitat to loo
 k for\, based on the season.  The guided trips will be out foraging for ab
 out 3 hours. Groups will return to WRI to have mushrooms identified. A gro
 up potluck will close the day.\n \nIndividuals who prefer a guided experie
 nce may sign up for one\, until groups are full.\n\nItems to bring\n-Pleas
 e dress for changing spring weather: boots\, rain gear\, appropriate cloth
 ing\n-snacks and water. \n-knife\n-collection brown bag or basket – NO pla
 stic bags - A recommended collection system would be a basket with a numbe
 r of smaller bags to separate species in the basket\n-whistle\n-bright ora
 nge or yellow vest or hat\n-a dish for the potluck at the end of the day\n
 -personal plate\, cup and utensils\n-optional\, if you have: compass\, two
 -way radios\n\nNote that the forage may include walking on uneven ground. 
 \n\nTickets are FREE.\nAttendance limited to 30.
