 harvest chicory roots. Did you know these roots can be dried\, roasted\, a
 nd used as a coffee substitute?\n\nPlease bring a harvesting container and
  a shovel or digging tool\, if you have one. We will have digging tools fo
 r those who don't. An ideal harvesting container is a small bucket or pape
 r bag. The workshop will include educational information about chicory's n
 atural history\, its place in our ecosystem\, and a hands-on harvesting se
 ssion where participants will be able to take home chicory roots to use fo
 r edible and medicinal purposes.\n\nThis is a FREE workshop\, and no regis
 tration is required. Just show up with your container!\nMeet at the WRI Ou
 tdoor Classroom at 6pm.
