  them as they share what that has looked like in the community\, at the fa
 cility\, and plans for the future.\n\nThe Winton Manufacturing Compost Wor
 ks facility was built by re-purposing the decommissioned Winton saw mill n
 ear Coles Corner about 15 minutes north of Leavenworth.  The project took 
 about 3 years to become operational from concept to completion\, which inc
 luded permitting\, construction\, and testing.  Winton Mfg Compost Works c
 an receive\, annually\, up to 62\,000 tons of yard debris\, wood waste\, f
 ood waste\, and other organic waste streams.  These materials are turned i
 nto high quality compost for multiple area markets.\n
