  Patterns of Hawks Wintering in Washington State  \n\nDescription: Washing
 ton state hosts a vibrant community of wintering raptors\, but where do al
 l these hawks spend their breeding and summer months? GPS transmitters att
 ached to Red-tailed and Rough-legged Hawks wintering in Washington affords
  unique insights into their fine scale movement and migratory behavior. Co
 me gain an increased appreciation for the incredible seasonal journeys bir
 ds make every year as we explore their fascinating migratory behavior.\n\n
 Presenter: Neil Paprocki recently moved to Wenatchee in 2022 and is pursui
 ng his PhD studying bird migration at the University of Idaho. Neil has sp
 ent over 15 years as an ornithologist\, mainly focused on the study of bir
 ds of prey (i.e.\, raptors).\n
