 get a seat!\n\nPresentation: Duffy Meadows - Development of a Stage Zero R
 iparian Restoration Project  \n\nDescription: What is a stage zero riparia
 n system? Duffy Creek in Douglas County is a great example. Our presenter\
 , Chris Sheridan\, will walk us through the historic and current departed 
 riparian conditions in the upper reaches of this area. We'll hear a summar
 y of stage zero restoration concepts and details on the development of the
  restoration plan for Duffy Creek\, while considering the issues impacting
  implementation of this plan. After the talk\, a group discussion will fol
 low to address the applicability and pros & cons of this restoration techn
 ique. \n\nPresenter: Chris Sheridan received his Master's in Forest Ecolog
 y from Oregon State University in 2000\, where his thesis analyzed amphibi
 an and plant communities in zero-order riparian systems in the Coast Range
  of Oregon. Chris has been a practicing restoration ecologist for over 20 
 years\, and has led the Fisheries\, Aquatics\, and Restoration programs fo
 r BLM's Spokane District since 2010. His accomplishments include completin
 g over 10 aquatic and riparian restoration and habitat improvement project
 s while working for BLM and for Dept. of Transportation. \n\n
