X-WR-CALDESC:September is a great time to observe migration of all types of
  birds\, especially hawks and raptors. These captivating predators are bes
 t observed from high ridges. For this birding trip\, we will meet at WRI a
 nd load up in our van for a one-hour drive up to Sugarloaf Peak. We will h
 ike roughly 0.5 miles up the unpaved road to reach our destination at the 
 top. Once at the peak\, we’ll settle in and scan the skies for migrating b
 irds! \n\nYou’ll learn about these fascinating birds and their migration f
 rom WRI Educator\, Tucker Jonas\, and ornithologist\, Neil Paprocki. Plan 
 to sit on rocks and hang out near the summit for about 3 hours.\n\nBe prep
 ared for the weather: bring sun & wind protection\, a lunch\, water\, and 
 sturdy shoes. We’ll have loaner binoculars available if you’d like to borr
 ow some.\n\nLimit: 13 participants\nTrail condition: 0.5 mile one-way\, di
 rt road with rocks and bumps\, slight incline\nTransportation provided fro
 m WRI.\n\nCost is Pay What You Can. Choose a price that is reasonable for 
 you. WRI offers this in recognition that not everyone can afford to pay fo
 r classes. We hope that people who can will pay to help those who cannot.
