X-WR-CALDESC:Join WRI for our Plant Foraging Series. We will be hosting pla
 nt foraging workshops to introduce people to the abundance of local plants
  and their edible\, medicinal\, and functional uses. Each workshop will fe
 ature a new plant at its unique harvest time. Participants will learn hand
 s-on how to identify\, harvest\, propagate\, and make use of the plant. Ou
 r goal is to empower people to respectfully and reciprocally engage with t
 he plants that live here.  \n\nThis fall workshop will be with local herba
 list Kyra Skaggs. The class is designed to instruct you on foraging and ha
 rvesting elderberries and what you can make with them. This will be a hand
 s-on class to become more familiar with this plant.\n\nKyra owns and opera
 tes Balsamroot Botanicals\, a small herbal medicine business focused on ma
 king high quality medicines and body care products using locally wildcraft
 ed herbs. She grew up exploring the wildlands of the Pacific Northwest and
  has always had a special love for plants. Following this passion for plan
 ts and the outdoors\, she received a BA in Environmental Education from We
 stern Washington University in 2016 and completed a clinical herbalism pro
 gram with Wildroot Botanicals in 2020. She started Balsamroot Botanicals i
 n 2022 because she is passionate about using plant medicine to help others
  take ownership of their health and deepen their connection to the world a
 round them.\n\nRegistration required.\nSpace is limited\, so sign up fast!
  Class size: 15\n\nCost is Pay What You Can. Choose a price that is reason
 able for you. WRI offers this in recognition that not everyone can afford
