The 2022 Bird Fest Schedule is LIVE WRI and North Central Washington Audubon Society (NCWAS) are excited to present the 20th annual Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest! Join us in celebrating the return of migratory birds and take part in birding field trips, workshops, art classes, family activities, and more! It will be held May 19th-22nd with beginner birding activities happening the week leading up to Bird Fest. We're back to in-person events with some virtual and hybrid options. For 2022, all field trip participants will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Stay tuned for details.

Registration opens Monday, April 4th at 5:30pm The registration link will be added to the website on April 4th at 5:30pm. Some trips will fill quickly, so register as soon as possible!
Registration is required for all field trips. However, some activities do not require registration. This includes the self-guided walks at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery and the Bird Fest Family Day vendor and exhibitor fair.

Bird Fest Family Day Saturday, May 21st from 10am-2pm Wenatchee River Institute Lawn Bird Fest Family Day is back! Family Day is a vendor and exhibitor fair open to everyone. You may come and go as you please and people of all ages are welcome. There will be multiple nature activities for youth and adults alike put on by WRI, NCWAS, Mountain Sprouts, NCW Libraries, and more! Come learn about local organizations and businesses, browse and purchase local art, take part in free activities, and munch on some local food. More details to come on this event!

Founders' Day Award Celebrating the 2003 Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest Founding Organizations, Committee Members, Volunteers and Collaborators!
The Founders' Award is a newly created award to honor volunteerism in support of Bird Fest. In honor of all of the efforts of these individuals and collaborators, WRI and NCWAS would like to present two Founders' Awards during each Bird Fest, beginning with 2022! A Founders' Award will be presented to one of each category:
