WRI's End-of-Year campaign as well as Give NCW ends on December 31st - this Friday. But there's still time to give! On Give NCW's final Match Wednesday (TODAY), the first $15,000 in donations will be matched!
No matter how you give, you are helping us further our mission and connect people of all ages to nature right here in our own backyard. Your donation will not only give students and adults a great experience today, but it will set them on the path to become environmental advocates.
Programs Record-Breaking Red Barn Events! This December was busy for Red Barn Events - not only that, but records were broken!
That's a wrap on 2021 programs! WRI is hitting the ground running for 2022 programs... WRI Staff and Volunteers finished their snowshoe training at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. Thank you to Marjie Lodwick and Julia Pinnix for being great teachers. Thank you also to our volunteers - without you, Snowshoe Strolls would not be possible! Snowshoe Strolls begin next week and run through February on Thursdays-Saturdays at WRI and the Hatchery.

More Youth Environmental Learning is Coming! With students being on winter break, it's been a time for planning and reflection for the WRI Education Team. There are many youth programs to look forward to in the coming months:
Place Join the Hummingbird Community Science Project The North Central Washington Audubon Society (NCWAS) has announced their community science study: the North Central Washington Hummingbird Project. Over the last decade, there has been increasing numbers of overwintering Anna's Hummingbirds. NCWAS is collecting data to support these populations and they need YOU!
Do you have a heated hummingbird feeder? Do you want to learn how to obtain or make a heated hummingbird feeder? Do you know how to properly care for your feeder? Check out the materials given by NCWAS and Wenatchee Naturalist to learn how you can participate in this project.
