Neat Nature Notes: Wildflowers

Tiger Lily

Columbia Lily

Often referred to as Tiger Lily. This wildflower blooms June through early August. It can grow to be 4 feet tall. The petals are orange, with tiny dark spots, hence the common name of Tiger.

Columbine

Columbine

This flower comes in many different colors, but the shape stays the same. Different pollinators are attracted to specific colors. The red-yellow combination of this area's flower attracts hummingbirds specifically.
