Successful Garbage Cleanup

Alternate text

Ten community volunteers and WRI staff spent two hours last Thursday cleaning up the Waterfront Park Trail. Thank you to those who helped make our natural spaces cleaner! Highlights: dead Chinook Salmon in river, beautiful male Mule deer, a usable bike lock with the key, and a lawn chair!

Welcoming New Staff

Robin Moser

Meet Robin, the newest employee at WRI! She is joining the team as the Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant. Robin is super pleased to be participating in our local community, and learning more about our environment.

The Board Dances

The Board of Directors is happy to present their new dance routine! Meetings can't be all about money and programming...

The Slow Stalk and Ambush

Make sure your volume is up for the full effect. Fall campers got to witness the full stalk and ambush of a Praying Mantis! Slowly the male Praying Mantis got closer to the unlucky insect on the walls of the River Haus. We watched as the Mantis used its spiked forelegs to strike and grab the bug. Then it continued to bite and devour the insect's insides. Enjoy the film!
