Hello *{{Informal Name}}*,
As the season shifts, many of our usual volunteer opportunities in Youth and Community Programs, like our Field Days, are either full or wrapping up for the year. However, we still have a few key areas where we could really use your help!
Our Community Programs are in full swing with Red Barn Events. We recently upgraded the technology in the Red Barn to make live streaming much smoother, so if you are interested in getting trained to help run the tech and live streams for these events, we’d love to hear from you! For those looking to get involved in other ways, we also have several fun holiday and end-of-year opportunities, including campus mulching, end of year envelope stuffing and sealing, and holiday parking assistance.
See below for all the details and to find a shift that fits your schedule! |

Winter Prep Workday: Mulching for Native Plants Thursday, November 19th
10:00AM-2:00PM |
Join us for a hands-on community workday as we prepare our Native Plant Garden for winter!
Newly planted native species face tough competition from winter-growing grasses that thrive under the snow and stunt spring growth. By applying a heavy layer of mulch, we can smother these invasive grasses, conserve soil moisture, and give our native plants the protection they need to flourish next spring. |

Envelope Stuffing & Sealing |
Join the Wenatchee River Institute to help us prep, fold, stuff, and seal our end-of-year appeal letters. By taking on this hands-on assembly, you free up critical staff time to write personalized notes and keep our busiest season running smoothly. Sign up for one or both by clicking the links below: When you sign up for your preferred date (or both dates), please indicate your estimated arrival time and how long you'd like to help.
Tasks involve simple, repetitive work—matching donor letters to envelopes, folding, stuffing, sealing, and organizing by ZIP code.
We’ll provide warm drinks, good conversation, and endless gratitude! Come for an hour or stay for the whole time. Questions? Email Randee. |

We’re looking for volunteers to help out during the four weekends in December. This is a fun and easy way to support WRI while greeting visitors and helping the community enjoy the season.
We’ll need 2–3 volunteers each day to help with parking from 1:00–3:00 PM. Roles include waving people in at the top of the hill, directing parking, and collecting donations. Your support makes a big difference every year. Thank you for helping keep this beloved holiday tradition running smoothly!

Thank you again for your involvement with WRI and your commitment to your community. We appreciate you! |

P.S. If you're no longer interested in volunteering with WRI, please let me know and you will be taken off of our volunteer list. |
