Angela Crampton

Angela Crampton brings a dynamic blend of outdoor industry experience, nonprofit leadership, and storytelling expertise to her work. Originally from Pennsylvania, Angela grew up camping with her family—an early introduction to the outdoors that shaped both her personal life and professional path.
Angela moved to Washington in 2012, where she fell in love with the Cascade Mountains. Seeking to deepen her connection with the alpine environment, she joined the Washington Alpine Club to hone her climbing skills, learn mountaineering, and start backcountry skiing. She was an active volunteer for several years, served as a co-chair for the Basic Climbing Course, and held a position on the organization's Board of Directors, helping others safely and confidently explore mountainous terrain.
Angela began her professional career in procurement and finance before transitioning into marketing, where she found her stride combining data-driven strategy with creative storytelling. She helped launch REI’s Co-op Journal in 2014, building a foundation for the brand’s content marketing strategy and inspiring people to connect with nature through authentic stories. She went on to work with outdoor and tech brands including Eddie Bauer and Gaia GPS, supporting integrated campaigns and community engagement that centered access to the outdoors.
Most recently, Angela served as the Sr. Communications & Partnerships Manager at SheJumps, a nonprofit that increases the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities. There, she led marketing and fundraising campaigns, managed national brand partnerships, and organized the organization's first-ever gala. She also doubled social media audiences and significantly increased web traffic and email engagement through grassroots and community-driven strategies.
Angela is currently a board member of Wenatchee Outdoors, a nonprofit dedicated to responsible recreation and connecting people with nature in North Central Washington.
She enjoys camping, skiing, hiking, fly fishing, climbing, photography, reading, and knitting. Outdoor education and accessibility are deeply rooted in her values, especially as she looks toward a future where more generations grow up loving and protecting the outdoors. Angela is excited to continue her work in the nonprofit space and to build connections in her new community in the Wenatchee Valley.
