Enjoy Beautiful Spaces and Make an Impact

From the green-built Red Barn to the historic River Haus on a 13-acre nature reserve, the Wenatchee River Institute (WRI) offers a unique, picturesque setting for your next gathering. We offer flexible indoor and outdoor spaces to suit a wide range of events. Learn more about our facilities below!

Rental Rates & Policies

  • Base Rates: Apply to rentals during standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM). Half-day minimum required.
  • After-Hours & Add-Ons: Early or late access outside business hours, extra equipment, and tech services incur additional fees.
  • Discounts: We offer a $100 discount for WRI Members and a 35% discount for local nonprofit organizations.

The Red Barn

The Red Barn is a green-built structure that is ideal for presentations, classes, workshops, and large indoor gatherings. Measuring 25'x45', this space can accommodate up to 150 people standing. On-site kitchen, multi-stall restrooms, Wi-Fi, projector, and projection screen make The Red Barn an excellent choice for your next gathering. River Haus Lawn

The River Haus Lawn is approximately 1/3 acre and located outside the historic River Haus building and next to the parking lot. The lawn is a beautiful outdoor setting with views of the Cascade Mountains that can accommodate up to 150 people. It is ideal for a wedding ceremony, BBQ, family reunion, or any outdoor gathering. The River Haus Lawn space is primarily rented through our rental partner, The LOCAL Event Co. See some photos in the slideshow below!

Bird Fest Room

The Bird Fest Room, located in our historic River Haus building, holds over 20 years of Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest history. This 15'x36' room can accommodate up to 49 people standing or 20 people in a conference setting (the most common rental type for this room). With a ceiling mounted projector, Owl conference technology, kitchen access, and access to a single stall restroom, the Bird Fest Room is perfect for business meetings, classes, and luncheons. The Sun Room

Overlooking the River Haus Lawn and into the mountains beyond, the Sun Room has the best indoor views of all our venues. This room, located in the River Haus, measures 13'x50' and accommodates up to 60 people standing. The natural light, kitchen access, and access to a single stall restroom makes this space perfect for rehearsal dinner, birthday parties, family dinners, or other celebrations.
