Cost
In an effort to make programming available and accessible to all, many of our programs and events are free, and for those that have a cost, we try to offer as Pay What You Can as often as possible. This means that in almost all events, attendees can register at a cost that works for them and their budget. We want to make sure all who would like to participate in our programming can. Learn more about how Pay What You Can works for both Youth and Community Programs here.
Note: occasionally, the costs associated with a particular program do not allow for Pay What You Can pricing. We strive to offer opportunities such as discount codes and partnered sponsorships to offset these costs. If a program has a fixed cost, and the price is a barrier for you, please fill out our Financial Access Form.
Online Registration
Most of our Community Programs, as well as Youth Camps and After School Program, require online registration. If you are interested in attending an event, we encourage you to check out the event on our Event Calendar to see if registration is required. If you have any questions, or are unable to register online, reach out to us at programs@wenatcheeriverinstitute.org or 509-548-0181. We are happy to help!
Some free events do not require registration but now include an RSVP option. This helps us stay in touch with participants by sending reminder emails before events and follow-ups afterward, including any recorded content or resources linked to the session. This way, you can revisit the event, share it with friends and family, or stay engaged even if you couldn’t attend in person. RSVPs reserve your seat and are helpful for us, but are not required.
Online Programs
WRI has select hybrid and online programs, including hybrid Red Barn Events. Within these programs, there are closed captioning capabilities. To watch previous Red Barn Events, check out WRI's YouTube here. To enable closed captioning on YouTube, select the video you would like to watch, and click the "CC" button on the bottom right of the video.
Language
At this time, most of our programs are offered in English with select programs offered bilingually in Spanish. We are working on making our programs more accessible to the Spanish-speaking community, and welcome ideas and partnerships to make it happen. If you, or someone you know, need interpretation or translation services, please email us at programs@wenatcheeriverinstitute.org.
Programs in the Red Barn
- When to Arrive. If you have any accommodations that are required, we recommend you arrive 10 minutes before the program begins.
- Restroom Use. It's recommended to use the restroom before the program begins. You can access the restroom using the elevator, if needed, but it is at the front of the room where the presentation is happening.
- Where to Sit. Red Barn Events are set up lecture style in rows of chairs facing a white screen that the presentation is projected to. If you need access to the elevator during the presentation or shortly after, it's recommended to sit on the left side of the screen in the front row.
