Fern Lopez Cruz
Having been born and raised on a family farm in Royal City, Washington, Fern developed a deep excitement for natural spaces and wildlife biology. She spent much of her youth picking through her garden, riling up her farm animals, and scrambling up hills with her sister in search of rocks and bugs.
After spending a term as a Summer Camp Intern at WRI, she decided to continue on and is thrilled to be working with new generations as she continues to develop her science communication and conservation skills.
In her spare time, Fern enjoys learning new animal facts, finding music that inspires her, and being creative by various bodies of water.
