Haley Watson
Haley grew up in Ellensburg and spent her summers exploring the shrub steppe and creeks around the valley. She quickly fell in love with the natural world. This appreciation lingered and led her to get a degree in Environmental Science with a focus in Biology. After college she worked in outdoor education, leading backcountry trips with teens and after school programs in the Wenatchee valley before joining the Forest Service. Haley worked across the Okanogan Wenatchee forest studying owls, woodpeckers, snails, stream health and helping with repair work after wildfires. Joining the team at WRI is a an opportunity to continue to share her love of nature, art and exploration and hopefully inspire the next generation of naturalists.
