Marcy Bartelheimer
Although originally from Snohomish, Marcy has called the Wenatchee Valley home since 2018. After earning her degree in animal science from Washington State University, she accepted an internship with a fruit company in Wenatchee and quickly discovered what makes the area so special. She loves the scenery, distinct seasons, abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities—especially skiing, biking, and hiking—and the unique culture of the valley.
Her appreciation for the region, combined with a strong agricultural background, an M.S. in Agriculture, and a few unexpected turns along the way, led Marcy to a career in natural resource conservation with a focus on agriculture. She especially enjoys the problem-solving and educational aspects of her work and looks forward to bringing her experience and perspective to WRI while learning from fellow board members and staff.
