Nature Day Camp (campers entering grades 4-6)

WRI is reimagining summer camps for 2020 as we adapt to COVID-19. Join small groups of campers and Wenatchee River Institute staff for a new version of camp! We will spend the days outdoors, exploring Wenatchee River Institute and the surrounding park, leading us through forested habitats, along the river, and through grassy meadows. Camp groups will investigate and learn about the world around us, play fun games, walk along our riverfront trail system, and do art activities.

This year’s summer camps will be dependent on Chelan County moving to Phase 2 in Safe Start WA. Following Phase 2 guidelines, camps will run with only four campers and one staff per group. Increased social distancing and hygiene will be put in place.

Several camps will run each week, with camps at different locations on the Wenatchee River Institute campus. To allow more social distancing during check in and check out, camp start times will be staggered, with sessions 9am-1pm and 10am-2pm.

Camp cost: $125 WRI member, $150 non-member. Full and partial scholarships are available.

If you are interested in getting your camper signed up, use the Sign Up Now links to get on the wait list. It is only when Chelan County becomes eligible for Phase 2 that we will confirm registrations and collect payment.
