Volunteer Training: Youth Education
WRI is holding a Volunteer Training for those who are interested in volunteering for youth education programs this fall! This is an optional training designed for new volunteers and also serves as a good "refresher" for more seasoned volunteers.
Please note that the training may move indoors depending on air quality. Lunch will be provided by WRI after the training!
The training will go over what to expect during our fall youth education programs, namely our Field Day Program, Watershed Naturalists. Field Days are hands-on science and exploration at the WRI campus. In the Watershed Naturalists program, students discover how connected our land and water are. They explore the river, get to know native plants, learn about riparian habitat, and more! You will go over lessons on water quality, erosion control, and macroinvertebrates.
Please RSVP for the training by clicking the red button above. If you are new or if circumstances have changed, please also fill out the attached survey to the RSVP form.
Keeping with the school district policies, WRI also requires volunteers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Volunteers will be required to show their vaccination card upon their first time volunteering.
Thank you for being interested in volunteering with WRI Youth Programs!
