Volunteer Training: Youth Education
WRI is holding a Volunteer Training for those who are interested in contributing their time to youth education programs this fall! This is an optional training designed for new volunteers and also serves as a good "refresher" for more seasoned participants. Lunch from Dan's Deli will be provided by WRI.
The training will go over what to expect during our fall youth education programs, namely our Field Day Program, Watershed Naturalists. Field Days are hands-on science and exploration at the WRI campus. In the Watershed Naturalists program, students discover how connected our land and water are. They explore the river, get to know native plants, learn about riparian habitat, and more! You will go over lessons on water quality, erosion control, and macroinvertebrates.
Please RSVP for the training by clicking the red button above. If you are new, or if your information/interest has changed, please also fill out the attached survey to the RSVP form. Registration will close at 3pm on Friday, October 4th.
