We have a volunteer opportunity for up to 2 volunteers to assist with a Wild Birds Field Day Program at Beaver Valley Elementary School in Plain. Field Days are hands-on science and exploration at the WRI campus. In the Wild Birds program, students explore WRI and the wild birds that live in the area.

This is a full day program. You can meet at WRI at 7:40am to carpool to Plain or meet WRI staff in Plain at 8:30am. The program will be done at 2pm and will arrive back to WRI around 2:30pm.

As a volunteer, you will assist WRI staff by attending one activity station, rotate between stations, or follow a trail group. Details on activities and a schedule will be sent to you a couple days before the program.

Keeping with the school district policies, WRI also requires volunteers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Volunteers will be required to show their vaccination card upon their first time volunteering. Masks are no longer required.
