The E. Lorene Young Community Garden is hosting a workshop entitled Designing Container Gardens, presented by WSU Chelan/Douglas Master Gardener MaryFran McClure. MaryFran will demonstrate how to plant and design container gardens for impact and color, techniques for maintaining healthy plantings, and talk about which container plants can be wintered over for future years.

The workshop begins at 11am and will be held in the Community Garden located at the foot of 12th and Commercial Streets, in Leavenworth, and be followed by an optional tour of the Garden, which will complete the one hour program. The Designing Container Gardens workshop is free and open to the public.
