Wednesday, December 4, 2019
7:00 pm8:30 pm
Red Barn, 347 Division Street, Leavenworth

Cascades Wolverine Project is a grassroots effort to support wolverine recovery in the North Cascades. They do field science, capture engaging images of this elusive mountain carnivore, and build backcountry community science and stewardship. This project is headed into its third winter of wolverine monitoring in the North Cascades. In this Red Barn Event, Stephanie Williams, project manager for Cascades Wolverine Project, will introduce the project, and then share her knowledge about wolverine ecology and conservation, current research in the PNW, and citizen science among the winter recreation community, particularly backcountry skiers and climbers.

Stephanie Williams is a professional mountain guide and field biologist, as well as the project manager for the Cascades Wolverine Project.

This Red Barn Event will also include a raffle to support the work of the Cascades Wolverine Project. The raffle prize is an 8x10'' print on a 3/4 inch backing, ready to hang, by David Moskowitz as part of the Cascades Wolverine Project of Stella, the wolverine who lives up Early Winters Creek near Washington Pass. The image can be seen above, next to the Cascades Wolverine Project logo.

Doors open at 6:30pm for community social and no-host bar; presentation begins at 7:00pm.
