Learn the art of making incredible night photographs with this single-session workshop. Anyone can create successful long-exposure photographic imagery with a little direction, practice and patience. This class provides the foundation and support for capturing the beauty and nuance of nighttime with your camera.

Class will focus on the technical aspects and creative applications of long-exposure image making. Additional topics to be covered include photographic light writing and light painting.

This course is geared toward intermediate-level photographers, but all are welcome to attend to expand their photographic knowledge and skill set. The course consists of instruction, structured exercises, guided practice and one-on-one feedback. All photographing will take place on the grounds of the WRI.

Participants must bring their own camera and tripod. Any type of tripod that securely holds your camera will work (examples include: tabletop, travel-size, GorillaPod, pistil-grip heads, standard full-size aluminum and even older wooden ones). Your camera must have manually or semi-manually adjustable exposure controls. Having some photographic experience and a basic understanding of your camera is recommended.

Class is limited to 15.
