Presentation: The Secret Life of Community Cats: What science teaches us about free roaming cats in the Wenatchee Valley

Description:
Community cats are already part of life in many of our neighborhoods — but what does science say about the best way to manage cat populations humanely and effectively? This talk explores the research behind Trap-Neuter-Return, common myths about free-roaming cats, and what local TNR efforts are teaching us here in the Wenatchee Valley. Expect cats, data, and a few surprises.

Presenter: BJ Andersen, CAWA, she/her.
BJ is the Executive Director at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, and a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator. She has been a regional and national leader in animal welfare for over 20 years, and an animal lover all her life. She currently shares her life with her wife, three cats, two dogs, two old horses, and a flock of sheep.

Ground Control offers a small discount for folks who bring their own reusable cup for on tap orders. Outside food is also welcome, as Ground Control does not sell food.
