Experience the Wonders of the Outdoors

Join the Wenatchee River Institute for an outdoor adventure with one of our knowledgeable naturalists. Outdoor Experiences range from birding, to nature walks, paddling down the Wenatchee River, snowshoeing, and more! Every season has something to offer. Some experiences are one-time events, others occur monthly or weekly.

On these experiences, you will explore the outdoors, learn about the natural and cultural history specific to Leavenworth, and enjoy scenic views along the way. Topics might include local plants and animals, geology, and the p'squosa (Wenatchi) people.

Difficulty level: Check each trip for specifics, but most are beginner level.

Accessibility: While some ADA accommodations can be made, few trips are fully accessible due to the nature of local trails. Please call or email us if you have specific questions or concerns.

Sometimes we are required to alter our outdoor experiences due to weather or trail conditions. If we are able to offer a similar program, Wenatchee River Institute might choose to go ahead with the program, in which case our normal Cancellation Policy would apply.
