Support a Community Project

The Wenatchee River Institute is a proud fiscal sponsor of many projects in our community that help further our mission to connect people, communities and the natural world.

Currently, WRI is fiscally sponsoring a Wenatchi Leadership and Cultural Event by the Wenatchi-p'squosa Advisory Group (WAG). This group represents the Wenatchi Tribe of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, and their purpose is to ensure that future generations return and connect physically, culturally, and spiritually to their homeland.

Right now, an anonymous funder is offering a $5,000 match! They will match 2:1 on donations received for WAG through June 30, 2026, up to $5,000. Thank you so much for supporting this project!

What is a fiscal sponsorship? A fiscal sponsorship is an arrangement where an established, tax-exempt nonprofit (like WRI) extends its 501(c)(3) status to an emerging charitable project or group. The fiscal sponsor (i.e. WRI) can accept donations on their behalf to go towards the specific project's expenses.

If you have any questions about fiscal sponsorship or the projects mentioned above, feel free to reach out to Randee at rzerger@wenatcheeriverinstitute.org or 509-548-0181 ext. 7.
