Support a Community Project
The Wenatchee River Institute is a proud fiscal sponsor of many projects in our community that help further our mission to connect people, communities and the natural world. Thank you so much for supporting these important projects!
Currently, WRI is fiscally sponsoring the following projects:
- 2027 Día de los Reyes Celebration. This event is a cultural tradition found across Latin America that symbolizes the end of Christmas, featuring traditional Mexican foods, gifts for children, dance and musical performances, and storytelling.
- Leadership and Cultural Event by the Wenatchi-p'squosa Advisory Group (WAG). This group represents the Wenatchi Tribe of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, and their purpose is to ensure that future generations return and connect physically, culturally, and spiritually to their homeland.

What is a fiscal sponsorship? A fiscal sponsorship is an arrangement where an established, tax-exempt nonprofit (like WRI) extends its 501(c)(3) status to an emerging charitable project or group. The fiscal sponsor (i.e. WRI) can accept donations on their behalf to go towards the specific project's expenses.
