Indigenous Leadership Training
The Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, Wenatchee River Institute, and leaders and descendants of p’squosa people, are proud to announce an immersive retreat cultivated for local leaders and decision makers fostering meaningful connections with Indigenous communities. This transformative event will take place at the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort in Leavenworth, a traditional gathering place for the p’squosa people.
This event will feature workshops, meetings, films, and panel discussions aimed at promoting trust-based relationships and supporting Indigenous-led initiatives.
Goals:
• Bridge gaps between organizations and Indigenous communities
• Promote cultural humility and inclusive leadership
• Equip participants with practical knowledge for deeper engagement
Impact: This retreat is expected to enhance community understanding of Indigenous cultures and strengthen partnerships in North Central Washington.
