Snowshoe Stroll for Sleeping Lady Guests
We are excited to offer snowshoe strolls for folks staying at Sleeping Lady in Leavenworth! Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort believes in travel with a purpose. Every time you visit their spa, enjoy a meal or stay with them, a portion of every dollar you spend benefits the Icicle Fund - a non-profit organization founded by Sleeping Lady’s founder, Harriet Bullitt. Icicle Fund supports other local North Central Washington organizations whose work aligns with the Fund’s mission of engaging people with arts, history and the natural environment. Wenatchee River Institute is one of the non-profits!
Come see what we are all about here at Wenatchee River Institute! Join us for a two-hour snowshoe stroll with our knowledgeable naturalists. Walk with us through Waterfront Park while the land is white and the temperatures are cold. You will learn about the natural and cultural history of Leavenworth with many scenic views along the way! What signs do we see along the trail that tell us what animals were there? How do the plants and animals survive winter?
