John Taylor
John was born in Seattle and has lived in Washington most of his life, but has also lived in Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon and Australia. He is now a retired teacher after 40 years teaching mostly high school science, including the last 25 years at Cashmere High School. He has a B.S in Science Education from Washington State University, and an M.S. in Science Education with an emphasis in Environmental Education from the University of Wyoming. He is very interested in the mission of the Wenatchee River Institute as a quality provider of environmental knowledge and ethics for both school children and the broader community. His hobbies include hiking and backpacking, cross country skiing, and bird watching. As a life-long educator, he believes we can improve our communities relationship to the natural world through our educational programs.
