After School Fun with Friends
At the Wenatchee River Institute, we believe the best way for students to decompress after a school day is to be outside with friends. Our After School Program focuses on connecting youth to the natural world, making new friends, and having fun! WRI's After School Program is offered throughout the school year on a quarterly basis. Each season brings more - and different - opportunities to learn about the world around us, play fun games, explore the trails on the WRI campus, make art, and more!
In addition to After School Program at WRI, we partner with Wenatchee and Orondo School Districts to offer After School Program to their students at their schools.
Cost: We want every child to have a chance to learn and play outside with us. Our After School Program is priced in the Pay What You Can structure to make the program as affordable as possible to all families. It is our hope that some families will have the ability to pay a little more to offset the costs for families who cannot. The base cost for After School Program is $35/day. For the September-December session, the total cost is $2065.
Who: After School Program is open to Kindergarten through 3rd grade students.
When: We will offer the program four afternoons per week. WRI staff will meet students at Alpine Lakes Elementary School and walk (or drive) to WRI's campus. WRI will provide snacks, and pick-up is at 5:30pm at WRI.
Registration: Registration will be for all four days, Monday through Thursday. The first open registration block will be for September through December.
Register this summer for Fall ASP. Hold your spot in September-December ASP with a $100 deposit. We will send you the full registration link in August. At that time, you can pay for September-December program in full or set up a monthly payment plan. The full cost for Monday-Thursday program, September through December will be $2065. The deposit is non-refundable.
- If you participated in After School Program at WRI in the 2024-25 school year, you can hold your spot for September-December ASP beginning June 16 at 4:30pm.
- If you are a new participant in After School Program at WRI, you can hold your spot for September-December ASP beginning July 1 at 4:30pm.
