Limit one plot per person
Garden Guidelines
· Pay a fee of $40 per garden season for each plot. Additional plots may be available based upon availability as of May 1st.
· Have the plot planted by June 1st and maintain the plot for the entire garden season.
· Abandoned or unmaintained plots will receive a warning. Ask a friend to help if needed!
· The assigned plot and surrounding areas need to be kept free of weeds and kept clean.
· Recycle and compost when you can! We have a new compost area, trash is limited to a small garbage can.
· Corn, sunflowers and other tall crops are only allowed if they do not shade neighboring plots.
· Gardeners will pick only their own crops unless given permission by another plot user.
· We are an ORGANIC garden. No synthetic or chemical pesticides, herbicides, or insecticides allowed
· Pets are not allowed within the fenced area but can be tethered outside.
· Smoking and consumption of alcohol on garden property is not allowed.
· Produce from the garden cannot be sold for profit.
· Plots need to be cleaned up by Nov. 1st.
· Garden equipment (tools, wheelbarrow, hoses, etc.) need to be cleaned and put away after each use.
· Invasive plants, large structures, illegal plants, tall bushes or trees are not allowed.
· Any grievances should be reported to Wenatchee River Institute for resolution.
· Wenatchee River Institute reserves the right to make amendments to these Policies and Rules at any time.
