This is a partnered event with the Wenatchee Valley chapter of the Native Plant Society and Wenatchee River Institute.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a community social with beer and wine available for purchase. The presentation will start at 7:00pm.
Join us in the Red Barn for an exciting presentation on how plants and pollinators interact through pollinator networks. These networks involve 88% of all flowering plants, at least a million insect species, about a thousand birds, hundreds of lizards and more than a hundred mammals. There are many ways that plants have evolved to attract specific pollinators to collect and carry pollen to another flower from the same species. Pollinators and plants both benefit from finding nectar and pollen more easily. Our presenter, Lisa, will focus on connections between our Eastern Washington plants and pollinators. She'll also mention a few of the more extreme examples of pollinator-plant interactions. Exciting!
