Camps

Summer Camps:

Summer 2021 camps are happening! Summer camps will be starting the week of July 5th and going through the week of August 9th. (June 14-July 2 are tentatively being held for camp programs with Wenatchee School District After School Program and the Monitor Migrant Labor Camp.)

At Wenatchee River Institute, we believe the best place to spend a summer's day is outside. Our camps focus on connecting youth to the natural world, making new friends, and having fun! Check out all of our camp offerings below. Registration is now open!

Summer Camp Hours/Days: 10am-3pm, Monday-Friday

We are experimenting with a new fee structure for these camps: Pay What You Can. We know that COVID has had a financial impact on many families, and we hope this makes camps as affordable as possible to all families. It is our hope that some families will have the ability to pay a little more to offset the costs for families who are struggling financially. When you are checking out, there is a box to type in the amount you can pay.

Pre-camp care begins at 9am, is available for $40/week, and can be paid for while registering for individual camps. No single day pre-camp care available.

Drop off and pick up at: Barn Beach Reserve, 347 Division St, Leavenworth, WA, 98826.

Spring Afternoon Camps

What:

Join small groups of campers and Wenatchee River Institute staff for a new version of camp! We will spend our afternoons outdoors, exploring Wenatchee River Institute and the surrounding park, leading us through forested habitats, along the river, and through grassy meadows. Participants will investigate and learn about the world around us, play fun games, and do art activities.

When:

Camps will take place 12:00pm-5:00pm, two afternoons per week. If your camper needs to participate in live school sessions during that time, we can accommodate that need.

Cost:

How to Register:

Register for each week you’d like to attend. Registration for each week is found on the first listed day of camp for the week.

Safety Precautions:

Increased social distancing and hygiene will be put in place. Camp will take place primarily outdoors, and campers and staff will wear masks. Each camp group will be based at different locations throughout our campus and will not interact. Daily temperature and health screenings will be conducted.
