Story Map: Washington’s Ice Age Floods
The Washington Geological Survey creates on-line “Story Maps” to tell visual stories, to explain broad topics about Washington geology. Although these can be found on their website, the Erratics will present the WGS “story map” of what the Ice Age Floods had wrought upon our state. Using imagery, maps, and video, this story follows the devastating deluges of the Missoula floods as they tore across the landscape, from their origins in western Montana to their terminus at the Pacific Ocean.
The program is free & open to the public.
