In this two-hour virtual class you will learn basic drawing skills to sketch a barn owl. The first part of class will cover blind contour drawing, contour lines, construction lines, and using your pencil as a method of measurement. In the second part of class we will apply the practiced drawing techniques to create a sketch of a barn owl. All you need in this class is plain pieces of drawing paper, pencils, and a white eraser.

Bethany Wray is a PNW artist who lives and works in the area of Twisp, WA. Living in Twisp has provided her the incredible opportunity to paint, play, and work next door to the North Cascade Mountain range. Bethany excels at teaching art to people of all ages. She currently teaches college art courses at Wenatchee Valley College Omak and elementary art at Methow Valley Elementary School. She also leads art workshops and private classes. She has taught previous workshops at WRI, both as part of our community programs and After School Art Academy.
