WRI is holding a Volunteer Training for those who are interested in volunteering for our Snowshoe Strolls beginning this January! The training is for volunteers to learn how Snowshoe Strolls work, learn your role as a volunteer, and about safety while on snowshoes.

RSVP for the training by clicking the red button above. If you'd like to come, but can't make the training, please email Mason at mpowers@wenatcheeriverinstitute.org.

There are two main roles you can be as a volunteer: co-leader or the caboose. You will have the chance learn more about these roles and let us know your comfort level. As a co-leader, you can help lead by telling participants about the area, plants, animals, or any other interest areas. As the caboose, you will be at the back of the group making sure no participants are left behind.

Snowshoe Strolls will happen in January and February. They will occur on Fridays at the Hatchery from 10-12pm, and Saturdays at the Hatchery from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm. After the training is complete, you will have the opportunity to sign up for times that work for you to volunteer.

Please bring plenty of water and layers. We will provide lunch and hot chocolate! We'll reach out for lunch preferences after you sign up.

Thank you for being interested in volunteering with WRI's Community Programs!
