Chicory Harvest Workshop
It's fall harvest time! WRI is hosting an on-site workshop to harvest chicory roots. Did you know these roots can be dried, roasted, and used as a coffee substitute?
Please bring a harvesting container and a shovel or digging tool, if you have one. We will have digging tools for those who don't. An ideal harvesting container is a small bucket or paper bag. The workshop will include educational information about chicory's natural history, its place in our ecosystem, and a hands-on harvesting session where participants will be able to take home chicory roots to use for edible and medicinal purposes.
This is a FREE workshop, and no registration is required. Just show up with your container!
Meet at the WRI Outdoor Classroom at 6pm.
